寒冷地特有のすばらしい水環境の現象のひとつに氷筍があります。近年特に有名になっているという道南の大滝村（現在は伊達市に統合）の百畳敷洞窟で発生している氷筍を見に行ってきました。もちろんプライベートです。洞窟まではトレッキングシューズでも充分なくらい締固まった雪道で、片道小一時間ほどの所要時間でした。洞窟内部には1mを超える氷筍が軽く100本以上はあり、天井の岩壁から滴った水滴が透明な氷筍を成長させていました。(村上)
I went to see the ice-stalagmites in Hyakujojiki-cave in previous Otaki-mura, Hokkaido, Japan. Hight of the ice-stalagmites exceeded over 1m. More than 100 ice-stalagmites standing in the cave. The fantastic scenery could be enjoyed. (writen by Y.Murakami)
It takes one hour snow trekking reaching the cave. |
